with that person.”

47 You need
to cut off links with one another. You need to break spiritual links with
your parents. I am not saying, "Turn your back on them." You just need to
cut your spirit off from theirs. You need to cut your spirit off from your
husband or your wife. Yes, God has made you one, but if there is a
contamination that takes place in the one spirit, it is going to affect the
other.
48 Your
spirit has to be a separate entity before the Lord. It has to be your own
spirit. It has to be unique and controlled by God and by Him alone, not by
another person. If you put yourself in subjection to another person you
unite your heart and your spirit with them.
49 When a
man and a woman are divorced there is a spiritual bond there that most times
is not severed. After they have gone through the divorce, and the courts
have legally divorced them and they have separated, there is still a unity
in their hearts towards each other. Such people become involved in a second
marriage and a third one, and they just cannot seem to settle in the next
marriage, because they are still 'married' to the first person. Their spirit
is still bound to the first person. It has to be cut off.
50 You have to cut your spirit off from every other
human being and unite with God's Holy Spirit alone. You must not be united
with anybody else, not in that way. Yes, there is union of spirits. There is
sharing, especially in a husband/wife relationship; especially amongst
believers in a church where Jesus said, "Where two or three are gathered
together in My Name, there I am in their midst."
51 There is a lovely fellowship in the Spirit and we
flow together in one Spirit in the Holy Ghost. But then your spirit must be
independent and separate and not under the control or influence of another.
Otherwise the enemy knows how to get to you. He just gets to the other
person who is weak. If you are united with them he will get to them, and
through them he will get to you. It will be communicated and you will go
down spiritually. You cannot understand where it is coming from. Cut your
spiritual ties.

CONTEXT USED IN:
When someone has opened their heart to
someone who was under a curse or received an impartation from someone who
was operating in a spirit not of God, we would say,
“By opening your
heart to that person, you received a contamination and opened a door to a
curse in your life”
or
“When you received that impartation,
you actually received a contamination from that person because they were
operating in a spirit that is not of God”

spiritual communion or fellowship. It comes from a union between two
spirits. When one person's spirit touches another's spirit there comes a
communication, a contamination if you wish, an influence from the one spirit
to the other. Have you never noticed how, when people get together in a
crowd, you have a crowd mentality? You have an influence that begins to
affect the whole group. And sometimes you have crowds that are stirred up
until eventually they are out of control, because a spirit takes hold of
them. The same spirit is communicating with all of their spirits and is

our teachings. You would find it in many contexts, but to name a few,
“You are operating under a curse because we can identify theft, strife, fear
and destruction in your life.”
Or
“When you sinned by reading
a horoscope or becoming involved in the occult/false religion, and you
opened the door to a curse in your home.”
Or
“It is clear that
you are bound by a spirit of poverty because of a curse passed through your
generations.”

"What happened? Instead of bountiful
provision there was loss. It was stolen from them. They lost all that
wonderful provision, and they lost that peace and harmony. It was all taken
away from them, and they had to leave the Garden of Eden. They were driven
out and lost the blessing.
21 There was destruction as thorns and thistles began
to come up. All sorts of pests appeared and bad things began to take place
in creation. Eventually we see that manifesting in murder, as Cain killed
his brother Abel. Destruction began to take place in the earth.
22 There was no security anymore. Adam and Eve suddenly
wanted to cover up from each other. There was no openness or feeling of
being comfortable and secure any longer. There was strife and fear. All the
elements of a curse were there - loss, destruction, strife and fear."

the Holy Spirit. The Scripture speaks of God as being Father, Son and Holy
Spirit, three in one. Satan has put together three as a governing council to

47 So we begin to build patterns for life based on the
information we have received, but because that information is tainted with
sin, we begin to build patterns for life that are based on sin. Our habit
patterns become sinful and we start responding to situations in life in
sinful ways. And over a period of time we begin to form a little pattern or
template, for each situation that we face.
48 So according to what situation you face, and what
circumstances you find yourself in, you begin to form yourself a pattern of
how you respond. When somebody speaks against you, you form a pattern of how
you will respond to it. When things go wrong in your life - when you get
pain in your body, when you suffer financial difficulty, when people are
ugly to you - whatever happens to you in life, you begin to respond to that
situation based on the templates that you have built up through the
information that you have accumulated during your life.
49 So the way that you live, and the way that you
respond to life is based on the experiences that you have had in life, and
those experiences have all been tainted by sin. As a result, what happens is
you begin to find yourself in situations where, when a certain influence
comes upon you, you automatically respond to that influence in a certain way
spontaneously, without even thinking."

24 Now as adults, we come to a situation where there
are so many templates there you do not even have time to think. When you
face a situation, particularly a crisis situation, it is a matter of split
seconds for you to decide what you will do. That is when your template
begins to come into action without you even being aware of it. Suddenly you
find yourself reacting.
25 Some people, when they face a stressful situation,
just collapse and totally draw into themselves. Others begin to explode in
anger. Others just grit their teeth and become stubborn, and they fight. We
all handle situations differently. But what actually happens is that as you
face that situation, you assess it with your mind. And your mind goes inward
into your heart and looks for a template.
26 It says, "Hold it, I'm sure I faced this situation
in the past at some stage. I have many years of recording back there. I'm
sure I faced this situation once before. How did I handle this one before?"

"Templates are history that is stored in
us through the experiences of life, and we respond in life according to the
situations that we face. So when you face a particular situation, what was
stored way back there in experience affects the way that you respond to that
situation.
30 It could be that the last time you faced a similar
set of circumstances that you had a very negative experience, an experience
that was filled with negative emotions, with sadness, with grief, with
anything like that. Now you face a similar situation and suddenly coming up
out of you, without you even trying or thinking about it, comes the same set
of emotions. You are filled with care, with fear, with guilt, with whatever
that emotion was. You cannot understand where it is coming from. Why do you
suddenly feel this way? What has happened is that a set of circumstances has
been created that has caused a template to come out. It has triggered off in
you those emotions and feelings."
