CONTEXT USED IN:

When referring to the anointing, we would say,
“I really felt the external anointing this evening”
or

“The Lord is leading me to flow more in the internal anointing.”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Way of the Anointing

CHAPTER:
Keys to Glory

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

WOAnointing 6:34-36
"Can you see something here? Can you see the internal anointing and the external anointing? The internal anointing dwells within you. The Spirit of God causes Jesus to dwell within us, and in our spirits we commune with Him as friend with friend. In our spirits we have power that is available to us, which we can tap.

35 { Conviction of Sin }

36 But when the external anointing comes, as we come into the presence of the Father the glory begins to manifest. The power becomes so awesome that the human body cannot contain it. The human body cannot stand it, and you cannot stand in the presence of it. You have to fall to the ground under the power, because human flesh cannot take this awesome glory and power of the Father. When you come into that presence there is a conviction of sin, an awesome conviction of sin, although you have been walking in righteousness."

The Word/Phrase:
Law of Judgment

CONTEXT USED IN:

We use this term often when giving personal counsel or ministry. We would say to the person,
“The reason your wife is acting like that is because of a law of judgment you made of your mother”

or

“The reason you always face rejection due to a law of judgment where you judged others for rejecting you.”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Way of Blessing

CHAPTER:
Dealing With Curses

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

WOBlessing 17:11-13
"{ The Law of Judgement }

12 There is something that the Bible calls the Law of Judgement. Jesus said, "Judge not, that you are not judged. For with the same measure that you use it shall be measured back to you again." When your wife starts acting like everything you always hated in your mother; when your husband starts behaving like the arrogant, horrible things you saw in your father, sit up and take note, because the judgement you made on your parents is coming back on you.

13 It is the law of judgement. As you speak forth judgement on another, the Scripture says that with the same measure that you use, the judgement that you made is coming right back at you. As you place your judgement on others, and as you speak negatively and speak curses on them, it will come right back at you. Be very careful."

The Word/Phrase:
Oppression

CONTEXT USED IN:

Many are confused by this word and feel that they must be demon possessed when we tell them that, “We feel oppression on you.” But what it means is that they are either under demonic attack, their spirit is in conflict or they have given the enemy license in their lives through sin. And so when operating in the gift of discerning of spirits, we would say,
“There is an oppression in your words”

or
“I can feel that you are under oppression.”

Or

“I felt such an oppression when I read that letter!”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Prophetic Ministry

CHAPTER:
The Prophetic Gifts

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

ProphMinistry 7:45 - "The gift of discerning of spirits is the gift that gives you the ability to detect the presence of demons, which are spiritual beings. By the gift of discerning of spirits you can discern and detect the presence of demonic oppression and bondage in the life of somebody. And you can detect the presence of angels. It operates in different ways. If you detect angels or demons in the Spirit then you are operating in the gift of the discerning of spirits. We will look at this more as we go on and see how this gift operates in the ministry of the prophet."

CONTEXT USED IN:

This term is used mostly in personal counsel where the Lord would lead us to address such issues. Performance orientation is a learned behavior to gain acceptance. This problem usually stems from childhood, where a child is forced to perform in a certain way to gain love and acceptance. Unfortunately this colors your relationship with the Lord and others.

We will often have to address this issue by saying,
“You have a problem with Performance Orientation”
or
“The Lord is addressing the Performance Orientation in you”
or
“Until you deal with the performance orientation you will not be able to move into a intimate relationship with the Lord
or

“Your performance orientation is causing you to perform for the Lord to gain His acceptance, just like you did for your natural father.”

CHAPTER:
Insecurity and Self Image

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

WOFreedom 23:48-50
"{ Wearing a Mask }

49 The first wrong way of moving across is to act like you think you should. You put up a different behavior or a performance for everybody, when in yourself you know that you are small and weak, and you want to be macho and put on this big front. We call this Performance Orientation. That is a study on its own so I will not go into it in detail, but it is a procedure that we learn to adopt during life to gain acceptance. We act and become what we think people want us to be in order to gain acceptance.

50 People seem to think that if you act confidently, after a while you will feel confident. Well, it might help your emotions for a while, but while the image of your mind says that you are small, that image will affect your emotions, and your emotions will affect your will. You cannot, by an act of your will, change your emotions. You have to change your thinking. You have to change the image of your mind."

CHAPTER:
Prophetic Rejection

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

ProphPreparation 19:9-10
{ Performance Orientation }

"Rejection will throw you into something called Performance Orientation. I have spoken about it many times, but I am going to mention it again very quickly. Performance Orientation is something that a child learns right from the crib already. We learn how to modify our behavior to gain what we want. And usually what we want as we grow up, is acceptance and recognition. If you want to be accepted by the status quo, you are going to have to learn to perform for the status quo. If you are to be accepted in the church, then you will have to learn to perform for what that church stands for. And if the leaders of the church require certain things from you, in order to be recognized and accepted, you will have to perform for them and be what they want you to be."

The Word/Phrase:
Root of Bitterness

CONTEXT USED IN:

This is a very common problem in many people and we address is often in personal ministry and counsel. Bitterness hinders your spiritual walk and when bitterness is held and built up over years, it forms a deep root that colors everything you say or do. We would address this issue by saying:
“You have a root of bitterness in you relating to your mother”
or
“Until you deal with that root of bitterness you will not break free of the oppression you are under.”
Or
“You have a root of bitterness that is defiling many and bringing a curse into your home.”

Or

“Before we minister healing to the hurts of the past, we need to address that root of bitterness and let go of the anger.”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Way of Freedom

CHAPTER:
Freedom From: Hurts, Anger and Bitterness

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

WOFreedom 7:51-53
"Just have a closer look and you will start seeing some signs of the root of bitterness existing. Bitterness is always negative. It never says anything positive. It is always negative, always sees the evil, always sees the bad. It is always suspicious. All of these things come as a result of that root of bitterness in the life of a person.

52 The clearest sign of a root of bitterness in somebody though is that the root of bitterness always needs something to spew out at. It always needs someone to be angry with. You will soon see in the life of a person who carries this root, that they always have to have somebody to be mad at, and they tend to be mad at only one person at a time.

53 If you have somebody with a root of bitterness that is mad at you, there is only one way to get that anger diverted away from you. Get them to be mad at somebody else. It is amazing. They hate you so that they want to kill you, until they get mad at somebody else, and then you are okay. Then you are fine. You are their friend again, because they are mad at somebody else."

CONTEXT USED IN:

Each temperament has a strength and a weakness, which we will often refer to as “Temperamental strengths” or “Temperamental Weaknesses” Here is an example in context for each temperament:

“Your analytical mind is preventing you from entering into the revelation of the spirit.”
“Your expressive goal orientation tends to get you into trouble, because you act without thinking.”
“When you swing to driver, you tend to become very pushy and demand perfection.”
“Everyone likes an amiable, because they love people!”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Apostolic Appointment

CHAPTER:
The Apostolic Preparation

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

ApostolicAppt 16:12-16
"Let me give you the four temperaments very quickly in a nutshell. The analytical temperament is a person who is non-assertive, non-emotionally expressive. A total perfectionist and a good planner, somebody who likes to rely on proven ways of doing things. He is very hesitant to make decisions. When you give them a plan they will give you ten reasons why it will not work. That is the analytical.

13 { Basic Temperament Types }

14 The amiable is a people person, somewhat emotionally expressive, but still unassertive. They do not push their way and they like to be with people. They like to spend a lot of time helping people and like talking with people and fellowshipping with others. He is Mr. Nice Guy, Mr. 'I'll give you the shirt off my back'. That is the amiable.

15 The expressive is an excitable, highly assertive person who is always striving after goals. He relies totally on having a new, exciting goal to go for, and if they do not get one they become discouraged and depressed. And when they get a goal they become so excited they do not have time to sit down and think about everything that could go wrong, they just go off like a bull in a China shop, impulsively off in their direction and doing their thing.

16 Then there is a driver temperament, who is a typical manager, boss type. He is a very assertive person, but not emotionally expressive at all. He is very work oriented and does not care about people. He will trample all over people and do not care about their feelings at all. They just want to get the job done. They take charge, they dictate, they command. They are the boss! All of us fall into one or more of those categories and mixtures thereof."

CONTEXT USED IN:

Many believe that because they feel called to one of the fivefold ministry that this revelation places them in the full office of that calling. We teach that until you have been trained by the Holy Spirit and placed in that office by the laying on of hands, you are not in that particular ministry office. We will often give the correction,
“You are still in the throes of preparation and have not entered into the training that will qualify you for office”

or

“You are not functioning in prophetic office yet.”

EXCERPT:

BOOK:
The Prophetic Office

CHAPTER:
The Prophetic Office

AUTHOR:
Les D. Crause

ProphOffice 1:18 - "Firstly, there is a difference between a ministry and an office. There is a difference. And sometimes the difference is not that obvious. In actual fact the two overlap a lot, so that at times it is difficult to tell the difference between a prophetic ministry and a prophetic office. But to put it in simple terms, it is like this. The ministry is what a prophet does. The office is what the prophet is. Ministry relates to the job, to the task of the prophet. Ministry is his job description."

Anointed and Appointed

"Can you identify a time when the Lord anointed you for ministry? It could have been through a prophetic word, it could have been through a personal revelation directly from the Lord. Either way, you KNOW the Lord had called you. But what now? Does this now mean that you must begin functioning in the office the Lord has called you to? Not at all, what this means is that from this day, the anointing that was poured upon you, will now begin forming you into the image of Christ and will be preparing you to take the throne of office!"

ONLINE ARTICLE:
Anointed and Appointed

AUTHOR:
Colette Toach

"You see, it takes more than the appointment of man to set you in office. It takes the appointment of the Holy Spirit and being released by a prophet or an apostle of God who is already in office.

Until you can recall a specific time and date where the Lord set you into office and appointed you to the throne, as it were, then you are not functioning in office and cannot wear the title of that office. You have not yet arrived and still have a path of training and preparation to walk."
